Created from one man's private collection of arms and armor, Higgins Armory was opened in one of the country's first all glass and steel buildings in the USA in 1931.
Second only to The Met's medeval collection, the Higgins' building houses over 2,000 pieces of ceremonial and fighting armor, weapons and commemorative fighting items spanning more than 1,000 years and many cultures--even armor for canines. Higgins Armory also holds many public events, educating on sword play, women's battle history, children's interactive galleries and sleepovers, beer and wine tasting and you can rent the museum of your own private events.
